Crypto lending lets your stablecoins earn interest instead of sitting idle. With Virtex Wallet you can lend USDT and USDC straight from the app and earn interest paid by borrowers, without sending your dollars to an exchange.

Stablecoins can't be staked like SOL or ETH, so lending is how you earn interest on USDT and USDC. Choose non-custodial lending to lend from your own keys, or custodial lending if you'd rather Virtex handle it for you. The app shows the current estimated rate before you confirm.

What you can lend

Stablecoin What it is Good to know Guide
Tether (USDT) The largest dollar stablecoin, designed to stay at $1 Make sure you hold USDT on the network the app shows for lending How to earn interest on USDT
USD Coin (USDC) A fully reserved dollar stablecoin, designed to stay at $1 Popular in on-chain lending markets What is crypto lending?

Holding SOL, ETH, TRX or BNB instead? Those earn through crypto staking, not lending. Not sure which fits you? Read staking vs lending.

Non-custodial or custodial lending

Non-custodial lending

You lend from your own keys, and your position can be checked on a public block explorer. Nobody can move your stablecoins without your signature. Best if you want full control.

Custodial lending

Virtex handles lending for you and credits interest to your account. Nothing to set up or manage. Simpler, but you're trusting Virtex with the funds while they're lent.

Start earning interest on stablecoins in four steps

1

Install Virtex Wallet

Get the app free from Google Play, then create a new wallet or import one you already have.

2

Add USDT or USDC

Buy stablecoins in the app, swap another coin into them, or send them from an exchange.

3

Tap Lend and enter an amount

Pick custodial or non-custodial mode and choose how much to lend. Keep a little of the network's native coin for fees.

4

Review and confirm

Check the estimated rate and withdrawal terms, then confirm. Track your interest in the app and withdraw when you need your stablecoins back.

Know the risks. Lending rates change with demand and are never guaranteed. Risks include smart-contract bugs, the platform or counterparty you lend through, and a stablecoin temporarily losing its $1 peg. Only lend what you can afford to have tied up. USDT & USDC interest calculator

Estimate how much interest your stablecoins could earn. Enter the rate shown in the app for a single figure, or leave it empty to see a typical range.

–

Estimate only. Typical ranges are rough market figures that change with network conditions, validator commission and lending demand. They are not a rate offered or promised by Virtex. Rewards are paid in the coin you hold, so their dollar value moves with its price. This is not financial advice. Always check the live rate in the app before you confirm.

Crypto lending questions

Which coins can I lend in Virtex Wallet?

Lending is available for the stablecoins USDT (Tether) and USDC (USD Coin). Coins such as SOL, ETH, TRX and BNB earn through staking instead.

Can you stake USDT?

Not in the proof-of-stake sense. USDT and USDC are tokens that run on other blockchains, so they can't secure a network or be delegated to a validator. The way to earn on stablecoins is lending, where interest comes from borrowers. More in can you stake USDT?

How much interest can I earn on USDT or USDC?

Stablecoin lending rates move with borrowing demand, so they change over time. Virtex Wallet shows the current estimated rate before you confirm. Because USDT and USDC track the US dollar, the interest is far less exposed to price swings than staking rewards on volatile coins. Try the interest calculator above.

What is the difference between custodial and non-custodial lending?

In non-custodial mode you lend from your own keys and can verify your position on-chain. In custodial mode Virtex handles lending on your behalf, which is simpler but means trusting Virtex with the funds.

Is crypto lending safe?

No form of lending is risk-free. The main risks are smart-contract bugs, the counterparty or platform you lend through, and a stablecoin losing its dollar peg during market stress. Only lend what you can afford to have tied up, and read the risks before you start.
